 The New Year had a very auspicious beginning with His Holiness Jayapataka Swami giving initiation to two devotees. Sukhomala devi dasi received second initiation and Asraya Nitai devi dasi received first initiation. Afterwards Maharaja distributed prasadam to the record number of Sunday feast guests and also blessed them with the maha-oil from Lord Nrsimhadeva in Mayapur, West Bengal. The 600 strong guests that Sunday were truly blessed by the mercy of His Holiness.
 His Holiness Prabha Visnu Swami has been the GBC for New Zealand for many years. He is also the GBC for Australia, Nepal, Bangladesh, Malaysia and some parts of the former Soviet Union. Maharaja has been coming here regularly for many years. During his stay, Maharaja gave class every morning and sang sweet bhajans. He also visited the Loft
