Asraya was initiated in 1995 by Tamal Krishna Goswami and took brahmin (second) initiation in 1996. She served Gaura Nitai deities in Christchurch and has been serving Radha Giridhari at the Auckland temple for many years. She performs many services such as arati, dressing the deities, cooking and cleaning. Asraya is quiet and humble, and usually prefers to remain in the background.
