An audience at the Waitakere Diwali celebrations watched colourful slides of ISKCON (International Society for Krishna Consciousness) activities flashed on a screen at the Waitakere Trust Stadium on Sunday, October 8. The slides were accompanied by singing and the chanting of auspicious prayers by devotees from the Radha Giridhari temple.
A stand promoting the Hare Krishna School was popular and books and devotional items were sold.
A large crowd gathered at the food tent and the devotees struggled to keep up with the public’s demand for prasadam.
