‘Hare Krsna please accept my humble obesencies, all glories to His Divine Grace Srila Prabhupada. I read your write up on 'P' and drugs, and I see this at the Christchurch temple also. It is indeed a big problem. Exposing the users is very difficult. Many people come in the guise of devotees. I think educating our children about intoxications at a very young age and again in adolescense can only benefit us and them. 'P' is for poison. It's sad that devotees have been exposed to such maya. I am raising my three sons in Nelson. There is no temple here. There is no gurukula here. They have seen 'P' addicts on the streets...It's unavoidable out here. I believe they will take shelter of a temple when they are old enough to, having grown up in such a degraded society. My sons know how fortunate children are to live on the Hare Krsna farms and near temples. The education of the intoxications really needs to start in gurukula. May I suggest devotees have more classes for the fringie devotees and adolescent devotees on intoxications and what Prabhupada thought of them.
Your servant, Shanti Cavenagh.’
