ImageWhilst the people of New Zealand enjoyed their summer holidays, Krishna devotees used their vacations to share Krishna Consciousness with the public, and at the same time had fun together when they joined the Jagannatha Family Festival.

Devotees from the South Island travelled North to be with old and new friends and Jasodadulal and his wife Ramila from Christchurch brought the new Jagannatha deities that Yasodadulal had carved so that they could give the mercy of Jagannatha, Baladeva and Subhadra to the people of the Bay of Plenty.

On January 2, the first stop was at the beautiful beach resort of Whangamata where a camp ground on a farmers land was organized by the local devotees. Katikati, Rotorua and Hamilton were the next destinations completing the festival on January 14 in Hamilton.
