An attempted break-in at the Radha Giridhari temple on the night of Gaura Purnima, was prevented by the quick reactions of Tilakini who lives in the brahmacarini asrama opposite the back of the temple.
Tilakini said, that at around midnight she was in the lounge when she glanced across at the temple and could see a figure on the lower roof level who appeared to be climbing in or out of the windows to the Deity area.
She immediately began shouting at the person who ran along the roof then jumped some distance to the ground. Tilakini said the person, who appeared to be male, then ran to a white car parked nearby, and drove away.
There was nothing reported missing, but Tilakini, and the other ladies who live in the asrama, were shaken by the experience. |
