Image After accepting an invitation in October of 2004 to visit the Auckland Temple, Ciranjiva das saw the potential of the Temple and the local devotees and felt that this would be a very nice environment for his 14 year old daughter Krsnamayi and his son Krsnacaran, 11 years old. Krsnamayi attends Rutherford College now and Krsnacaran attends the Hare Krishna School.

Accompanied by his wife Candravali devi dasi from Sweden, Ciranjiva arrived on 22 July 2005. He laughingly says that his wife is Finnish, his children are half Finnish and he is ?Unfinished?.

Interestingly, Ciranjiva tells how he was born in a Buddhist family, went to a Christian school, grew up in a Muslim country and is a Hindu Hare Krishna.

Born in Malaysia in a Chinese family, Ciranjiva das is 50 years of age and was the Temple President in Denmark for ten years and the Regional Secretary for two years overseeing the development of Krishna Consciousness in Denmark, South Sweden and Finland. He spent a total of twenty-one years in Scandinavia and the last seven years in Malaysia working with congregational development.

A long term position is how Ciranjiva sees his role as Temple Manager and the goal he has set himself is to develop a spiritually vibrant community and also outreach programmes for the congregation. He feels that the Temple and the Deities are very beautiful and would like to make them more available to the congregation.
