A recent  farm report by Saci Suta and Ananta Krishna revealed an excess of $4000 profit from last years hay crop, and $2800 in grazing fees from neighbours’ horses grazed on the farm.
There have been a number of improvements made around the farm including new fencing, gorse spraying, fencing of gullies and planting them with specimen trees.  This work is for beautification, shelter for the cows, and to prevent cows getting stuck in the gullies.  A large amount of rubbish has been removed from the paddocks including broken glass, wire and garden waste which are all hazards to cows, horses and farm machinery.
Residing at present on the farm are five cows and three bullocks.  Several old cows died last summer and one of the bullocks has quite bad arthritis.  When the fencing of gullies and around the estuary is completed, a breeding programme will be considered so that one cow can be milked for fresh milk to be offered to the deities.
Because the paddocks were limed in April 2005, the quality of the grass has greatly improved, and a bumper crop of hay is hoped for this year.  Paddocks have been locked up for hay and many of the horses kept on the farm over the winter have been relocated.
A local man has been keeping a bee hive near the orchard. He serves in two ways, his bees help to pollinate the fruit trees and he also removes the temple kitchen scraps for his pigs.
The workshop and barn area has also been cleaned up, and will be used by Saci Suta and Ananta Krishna as a manufacturing plant for their insulation business.  There is a bin by the workshop roller door for waste paper that can be recycled.
A request was made for drivers to slow down on the farm roads because of further damage to the roads and because of the safety of children, and mothers with prams walking on the roads.
